7–10 days in Seoul

Drain removal and the first dressing change happen before you fly.

Facelift & Neck Lift

SMAS and deep-plane lifting, neck lift, mini lift, and lower-face contouring, usually combined with fat grafting to restore volume.

In Korea, a 성형외과 전문의 — board-certified plastic surgeon — completes a dedicated residency and passes a national exam. It’s legally distinct from a general physician who offers cosmetic procedures, and the distinction is published and checkable.

Safety

The things you’re actually worried about

You’ve read the horror stories. So have we. Here’s what we require before we’ll introduce a hospital.

"Ghost surgery"

A different doctor operating once the patient is under. We require written confirmation of the operating surgeon, and you meet that surgeon in person on the day, before anesthesia. If a hospital won’t put the name in writing, we don’t work with them.

Verifying credentials yourself

We give you the surgeon’s name and license number and show you how to check it against the Korean Medical Association register. Don’t take our word for it, and don’t take the clinic’s.

If something goes wrong

The revision and complication policy is confirmed in writing before you pay a deposit — what’s covered, for how long, and what a return trip would involve. We stay reachable after you fly home.

What we won’t do

We don’t recommend procedures, upsell add-ons, or talk you into a bigger operation. When a surgeon says you’re not a good candidate, we pass that on unchanged. Sometimes the answer is that you shouldn’t do this.

The questions patients ask first

How long do I need to stay in Seoul?

Seven to ten days for breast augmentation, twelve to fourteen for a facelift, and two to three weeks for body contouring after weight loss. The stay is set by when it’s safe to fly and when your sutures come out, not by convenience. We give you the exact day count before you book a ticket.

What does your service cost me?

Nothing. You pay the hospital directly at their standard rate, and the hospital pays us a coordination fee when you go through with treatment. You should know that, because it means you can ask us plainly whether a recommendation is in your interest — and it means we have no reason to steer you toward a bigger operation than you need.

Will anyone at the hospital actually speak English?

Some surgeons speak strong English and some don’t. We don’t leave that to chance — a medical interpreter is physically with you for the consultation, the consent forms, surgery day, and every follow-up, however good the surgeon’s English is. Consent isn’t something you sign on a guess.

How much will it hurt, and how long is the downtime?

Breast augmentation is tight and sore for three to five days and manageable with medication after that. A facelift is more swelling and numbness than pain, with visible bruising for two to three weeks. Body contouring after major weight loss is the hardest recovery of the three, with drains and restricted movement for the first week. You won’t be sightseeing. Plan your stay around recovery, not around Seoul.

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes, and we recommend it for facelift and body contouring, where you’ll need help in the first few days. Pickup, transport, and appointment escorting cover your companion at no extra charge. Tell us when you first message so we book the accommodation correctly.

Do I need a visa?

US and Canadian passport holders can enter Korea for short-term visits with K-ETA authorization, applied for online before departure. We’ll confirm the current requirement for your dates and flag it early, since the rules change periodically. Longer stays for staged surgery may need a medical visa, which the hospital sponsors.

What if I decide not to go ahead?

Then you don’t go ahead. There’s no charge for the shortlist, the video consultation, or the questions you ask along the way. Deposits are paid to the hospital under their own cancellation terms, which we show you in writing before any money moves.

How do I choose between the surgeons you send?

Look at which of them performs your specific operation most often, ask each one what they’d do differently from the others, and ask to see cases with a starting point similar to yours. We’ll arrange a second video consultation if the first leaves you undecided. Taking two weeks to think it over is normal, and we won’t chase you.
